Rebranding

Studio UKU’s visual identity is built on simplicity with character. The logo is made from modular “building blocks” that create a playful yet solid system balancing calm and rhythm, structure and surprise. Minimal in form but flexible in use, the identity adapts naturally across applications while staying true to its essence. Inspired by natural tones with contrasting accents, the palette stays in dialogue with UKU’s designs.

A haunting history of ordinary people lost within vast historical events.
Amsterdam, the Old Jewish Quarter, 1995. During renovation work, a suitcase falls from the attic of a house on Nieuwe Hoogstraat. A time capsule filled with memorabilia, letters, photographs, and personal items such as a child’s shoe and a lock of hair. This book brings to life the story contained within that suitcase, uncovering the life and fate behind its contents.

Exhibition identity

AIRBAG brings together artists, designers, and the public to explore mobility, impact, rhythm, and ground in an ever-accelerating world. The exhibition centers on sudden collision and new possibilities, with the airbag as both protection and explosion — a moment where everything shifts and begins again.

Amid ecological crisis, geopolitical change, and rapid technological acceleration, we seem to be constantly crashing and relaunching. The exhibition embraces this chain reaction, examining movement and displacement — from illegal garage raves to oil-painted mechanics, from parking space to temporary utopia. The warehouse transforms into a hybrid of parking garage, playground, and underground.
